The fastest and most aerodynamic Aero-Tri-Road helmet. Based on the great success of the Rudy Project Wingspan, the most worn helmet at the Ironman in Kona Hawaii in 2011, 2012 and 2013, Rudy Project is launching a new revolutionary, highly developed time trial helmet: the WING57. The WING57 offers unique patented features, exceptional lightness and protection and superb looks. The helmet comes with an exchangeable optical shield in smoke.
Structure in Mold Technology
Rudy Project's primary goal is to minimise the damange caused in an accidents. For this reason, Rudy Project uses proven In Mould technology, wherein the protective polystyrene mass (EPS) is directly injected into the polycarbonate shell to create a significantly stronger, more shock-resistant and lightweight structure. The combination of EPS, the polycarbonate shell and the exoskeleton offers the best protection against the mechanical effects of a fall by distributing the energy optimally onto the structure and thus protecting the helmet wearer from the consequences of a fall.
Rudy Project supports IceDot technology and offers a one-year free registration for this innovative emergency service for selected helmets. Increase security during training sessions by attaching the special sticker and registering on the IceDot website. Thanks to the revolutionary new IceDot system, in the event of a fall/accident the emergency services and friends/family (for whom telephone numbers have been selected) are alerted. You can purchase an IceDot sensor (sold separately) for increased safety on the bike.
The fully integrated and removable Optical Shield maximizes protection and aerodynamics and prevents glare and eye fatigue. Based on the advanced RP optics polycarbonate technology, the visor offers optimum protection against UV radiation.
The Wing 57 is equipped with a removable aerodynamic magnetic extension. The Jetstream is attached to the Air Director and improves performance depending on the rider's posture.
Vortex Killer System
One of the big breakthroughs from the geometry of the helmet and the two side slits is the straightening of the airflow over the back of the helmet. The vortices are avoided by directing the air through a patented duct. Rudy Project calls this system Vortex Killer or Air Straightener. This system also provides much better ventilation inside the helmet, the Air Director creates a kind of over/under pressure area on both sides so that air always flows out on the opposite side of the helmet. The rider’s head is optimally cooled.
This innovative material is extremely resistant and turns an air-flooded helmet into an absolutely aerodynamic shape as if made of one piece.
R S R
The innovative R.S.R. DISC dial system is constantly being developed to improve performance and stability. Precise adjustability and height-adjustable inner rings offer the best fit and stability.
