The Rudy Project Proflow features stabilisers made of a lightweight zinc-aluminium-magnesium alloy that are temporally attached to the temples to ensure optimum stability and perfect fit.
Strengthened with carbon polymers and Swiss-quality thermoplastics, the chassis of the Proflow achieves maximum stability and is also therefore more resistant to shocks, more durable and lighter. Building on the award-winning Rudy Project Ketyum and advanced materials such as polyoxymethylene, a high molecular weight thermoplastic and aluminium, Rudy Project engineers have created an innovative evolution of the free-floating bow.
Aerospatial Kynetium temples
The Rudy Project Proflow temples are made of Kynetium, an alloy of aluminum, magnesium, silicon and titanium. This refined blend of lightness (Mg), strength (Ti) and elasticity (Si) represents a breakthrough in progress and design, allowing Rudy Project engineers to implement the unique Proflow architecture.
Since the development of CR-39 and polycarbonate over 40 years ago, there have been few advances and innovations in high impact optical polymer development. ImpactX is an optical polyurethane polymer, transparent and unbreakable, originally developed for the military. The Impact was developed in the early 1990s.
