The new Reverse Base in the World Cup Edition doesn't offer the usual 9° back sweep but comes with a 7° back sweep. Thanks to the low back sweep you save a lot of power on longer descents, as the centre of gravity of the handlebar is rather "front-heavy". The arms are stretched and the bike is easy to handle.
All Reverse handlebars and stems are tested according to the EFBE Standard MTB-G. The "G" stands for Gravity. The components are tested in a three-phase test. 1. 100,000 cycles each for counter-phase and in-phase loading. 2. Maximum load test within the scope of the intended use. 3. Overload testing beyond the intended use to simulate a foreseeable misuse or accidental damage.
These maximum and overload tests are extremely important for the rider, especially with lightweight construction and carbon elements. They can rely on the material even in extreme situations.
