An aggressive tread on a large volume carcass designed for good traction but fast enough for racers. Large block-shaped shoulder studs bite into fast curves. The tread centre has bevelled studs to minimise rolling resistance.
The MaxxPro Compound is the first tyre compound for bicycle tyres in which the components have been extremely finely ground. This mixture is optimal from Allmountain to Downhill: More grip, good damping properties, long service life, low rolling resistance. And no stud destruction- a success of the exclusive Maxxis MaxxPro technology.
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tyres. It’s very densely woven, light and very flexible, and thus the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure, giving better traction and reducing rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of a flat also decreases. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tyres. Like a real UST tubeless tyre, the bead of the TR tyre is completely covered with a rubber layer. This means that the tubeless mounting of all rims with standard dimensions is already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid.
LUST = Lightweight Ultimate Sidewall Technology. The outside of the carcass is covered with an airtight rubber layer and a light protective layer. This results in a stable UST tyre that is light in comparison and holds the air very well.
