DH World Cup courses today are steep, technical monsters with constantly changing conditions. The pros need a mid-spike tyre that can handle dry, loose and well-ridden corners as well as a little mud. The Shorty is such a tyre. A large volume double ply carcass makes it more versatile than Maxxis WetScream mud tyre. Large, high and slightly staggered side studs penetrate loose ground and ensure predictable navigation of bends at the speed of light. The centre tread of the tyre features two alternating stud patterns: rectangular and square, with strong braking bite and excellent self-cleaning properties.
3C MaxxGrip A new name for the well known 3C Downhill mix combination that many of the best downhillers have trusted for years. 3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compounds to offer the ultimate in grip and slow rebound properties for unparalleled traction in downhill applications.
Wire bead core The bead core must hold the tyre securely on the rim. High-quality wire is very well suited for this - the disadvantages are: not foldable and slightly heavier (approx. 50 g more)
