The S9 model heralds the future of race-proven comfort and was designed and developed on the basis of a completely new concept. Every textile, construction and technology used in the successful predecessor model has been evaluated, renewed and improved. Even racers of the highest level were supported.

Imagine the many sharp curves, the millions of pedal revolutions, whether in the saddle or standing, of the test rider. How often did the rider's body have to reposition itself? And what elasticity, protection and stability did the trousers and padding have to provide?

In the S9 generation, two new approaches come into play: the primary "butterfly insert" - the completely new cut and seam construction of the trousers - which completely surrounds the legs and converges at the back to form the new ergoBox structure. This design effectively frames the insert and also features an incredibly advanced textile, the Type.441 material, which gently wraps your legs. This fabric is specially designed for compressive hold and silky soft comfort.

Following this step, assos has implemented its unique rollBar, which is based on the stabiliser of a racing car, with the straps acting as a stabiliser for use and compensating for body and weight shifts in curves and kicking movements. Each carrier is sewn directly into the hem above the insert to ensure it is always under comfortable tension. The straps have also been redesigned using calibrated stretch, while the back has been given a single section of elastic material folded over itself to form an A-shape at the back. For increased stability, it offers a short vertical stretch. At the front, a more flexible material has been used that features an antibacterial carbon fabric, which wicks away moisture and lies comfortably flat.

Assos has also focused on its proven Equipe Evo padding, which has been optimised to deliver even more performance in tough racing conditions. The surface was reduced to save additional weight and then the superAir microShock foam with 3D waffle and the kraterCooler system were implemented to increase the air exchange and further measures were taken to fix the insert on the back with the patented horizontal stabilizer. The result? The comfort characteristic of ASSOS, but stabilised like never before!
